In general, pricing is a setup fee of $150 and a catch day fee of $50 per catch day.
A catch day is a day where one or more animals have been caught. For instance, On Monday, we arrive at your property and find mole damage. We set several traps in various locations and the fee is $150 for setup. On Tuesday, we return and find three moles have been caught. Since one or more moles have been caught, this would be considered a catch day. The fee would be $50. If we return on Wednesday and Thursday and find that no further moles have been caught, there is no cost for those dates.
There are no hidden fees, no mileage fees, no “per animal” fees. Larger areas can incur setup fee increases, but will always be discussed with customer beforehand.
Pricing may fluctuate slightly due to location and variables involved in specific situations outside of our control. Please contact us with your specific needs to get a detail quote if you think your situation may be unusual.
Although every situation is different when dealing with wildlife, some animals tend to find themselves causing problems more frequently than others. Below is a list of the most common troublemakers.
BATS:
Although many people are afraid of bats, they are actually a very beneficial part of nature. Bats eat more insects than you can imagine. For this reason, it is good to have bats living AROUND your house. The problem starts when the bats begin living IN your house. Bats are known to carry rabies and other harmful diseases. They should never be allowed to stay in a residence occupied by people.
Bats move into a house when the house has openings that need to be repaired. Simply blocking these openings will not solve the problem. It can actually make it worse. If the holes are blocked with the bats inside, you will soon find that there are a large quantity of dead decaying bats in your attic or walls. The odor will not be one you will want in your house. It will also cause the insect population to multiply.
Our goal is to protect the bat population and the human population at the same time.
We will find the structural problems with your building that allowed the bats to move in. We will allow the bats to leave. The entry/exit points will then be repaired or blocked, so the bats cannot re-enter.
If you think you may have bats living in your building, call Hammond Animal Removal, LLC. at (231) 742-8468 We will meet with you, investigate the matter, and come up with a solution to fix the problem.
MOLES:
Moles can destroy a beautiful lawn in no time. Our goal is to stop them quickly. Some have tried to treat their yard for moles by poisoning the grubs. Unfortunately, moles eat much more than grubs. The moles will continue their destructive behavior. Some have also tried to poison the moles themselves. The problem with this is it is very possible for non-target species to ingest the poison ending in unwanted results. Pets and humans can be put at risk by this method.
The best and most sure way to stop moles is to trap them. It is the most humane way to stop moles and it leaves no dangerous poisons in the ground afterwards. This is the only method we use.
SKUNKS, RACOONS, OPOSSUM, FOX, SQUIRREL, WOODCHUCK, PORCUPINE:
These animals can cause tremendous damage to houses, barns, yards and gardens. They can get in your trash and even be a health hazard to you and your pets. Ignoring them for any amount of time only compounds the problem. In most every situation, we use live traps to catch the nuisance animals. No poisons are used.
If any further action is required, it will be discussed with the customer prior to any work being done.
BEAVER/ MUSKRAT:
These animals can be devastating to waterfront properties. They can turn a day at the cabin into a trip to the emergency room with a broken leg or even worse. Your favorite tree can be there one day and gone the next. We can help!
