About Derek
Derek has a bachelor’s degree in business management and grew up working alongside Jeff. Wildlife work is second nature to him, and his strongest asset is his attention to detail—an essential skill in this line of work.
About Jeff
Jeff’s background is in law enforcement, where his career focused on helping people, solving problems, and tackling situations most others would rather avoid. After retiring, it’s been fulfilling to continue living out those same values through wildlife removal.
We started Hammond Animal Removal in 2016, driven by a lifelong connection to wildlife and a passion for helping people. Every job is a new puzzle to solve, and problem-solving remains at the core of what we do. One of the most rewarding parts of this work is meeting people from all walks of life. Many customers spend time with us while we’re addressing their wildlife issues, sharing their stories, asking questions, and learning more about the animals around them.
Education is a big part of our mission. Many of the animals we deal with—like bats—can cause real fear for homeowners in Mason County. While it’s important to handle these situations safely, it’s equally important to understand their role in our ecosystem. Our goal is simple: remove wildlife from where it shouldn’t be, and ensure it can continue to thrive where it belongs. Working with these animals every day is truly a privilege.
